Here's the example of an explanation text about flood:

Floods are a very common disaster in densely populated cities. Floods are very common in Indonesia, hitting the city of Jakarta and often claiming many lives. So do you know how the flood process happened? Consider the following explanation.

When rain falls on the surface of the earth, the process of natural flooding begins. In addition, rainwater seeps through the ground and flows to low places. Evaporation then takes place and water comes out of the surface.

Naturally occurring floods can be devastating to people when floods hit their homes, as they wash away objects such as houses, bridges, furniture, and even people. In addition, unnatural flooding processes can usually be caused by bad habits of people who do not care about the environment, such as throwing away garbage, block water flow.

This could be causing water to accumulate and increase in landfills. When reservoirs can no longer hold runoff water, water spills over the land and causes flooding.
