  • Definition
    Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or step. It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps. It uses how to operate or use a product or tools, to make something new step by step completely.

  • Purpose
    The purpose of procedure text is to tell how to do something.

  • General Structure

    1. Goal: explains the goal of the text
    2. Materials: describes the tools or materials/ingredients needed
    3. Steps: the actions that must be taken/done

  • Language Characteristic

    1. Using simple past tense
    2. Using imperative sentences
    3. Using connective sentences
    4. Using adverb

Recount Text

Yo Hai! We meet again! We have already learned about Recount Text, let me remind about it. Definition Recount Text is a text that tells the reader about events or experiences from the past. Purpose The purpose of a recount is to list and describe past experiences by retelling events in the order in which they happened. Generic Structure 1. Orientation: Gives the readers about the background information needed to understand the story. 2. Events: Series of events in a chronological sequence 3. Re-Orientation: Personal comment about the event or what happened in the end Language Features 1. Using simple past tense, post continous tense, past perfect tense, and past perfect continous tense. 2. Using temporal sequences 3. Focus on specific participant 4.
