1. Definition
   
   Recount Text is a text that retells event or experiences in the past. They're usually based on the experiences of the writer, and therefore, they're most often told from the first perseon, but this isn't always the case - sometimes they're told on beha;f of someone else.

2. Purpose
   
   
   The purpose of a Recount Text is to list and describe past experiences by retelling in the order in which the happened. Recounts are written to retell events with purpose of either informing or entertaining their audience.

3. Text Structure
   
   Orientation: To tells who was involved, what happened, where the events took place, and when it happened.
   Series of Events: To tell what happened in chronological sequence.
   Re-orientation: Consists of optional-closure of events/ ending.

4. Types of Recount
   
   Personal Recount
   Text about  the writer's recolections of a particular event or experiences.
   
   Factual Recount
   To inform the readers about particular events just like newspaper reports.
   
   Imaginative Recount
   To help the readers understand an event by providing a fictional recount that's as true as true-to-life as possible.
   
   Procedural Recount
   This text is more for scientists. often used to describe an experiment so that it can be reaplicated by others.
   
   Literary Recount
   This text is all about entertainment. They can be fictional or real events and involve real or fictional characters.

5. Expression/ Language Components
   
   1. Using personal participant such as I, my, me, etc.
   2. Using chronological connection such as first, then, etc.
   3. Using linking verb such as were, was, heard, saw, etc.
   4. Using action verb such as go, look, change, run, etc.
   5. Using simple past tense.

   My Bad Day
   
   
   Doni scrimped and paid for a trip around the world that lasted two months. In his diary, he detailed his journey. I travelled to London and spent several weeks in Europe after spending a week in New York. I took a train to Istanbul and visited several locations in Asia after seeing the sights in Europe. First, I flew from Mexico City to New York City, where he lives. After travelling across Asia, I travelled to South America before returning to Indonesia. Doni was weary, but he was ecstatic to be on the road again.
   
   
   A Man Charged
   
   
   A man has been sued in court for pushing an older woman down a bus on Upper Thomson Road. Ong Kok Hao, 25, is accused of injuring 76-year-old Hwang Li Lian Nee Lye on bus service number 167 around 3 p.m. on June 5th. Ong is alleged to have pushed the older woman onto her back, causing her to collapse onto the bus stairs. The incident was recorded and posted to YouTube in a two-minute video. Ong bursts into a fury at Madam Hwang for pressing the ring at the last minute along Upper Thomson Road, according to the video. During the resulting scream battle, Ong attempted to slap the woman before shoving her down the bus. Ong’s lawyer, Eddie Koh, will present his case to the court. The issue will be revisited by the police in December.

   Trip to Malang Zoo
   
   

   Last month, my family and I went to Surabaya to visit my grandmother for the Chinese New Year Day. Before going to grandmother's house, my mother asked to my father if we got the chance to go to the Malang Zoo. My father said yes and there we goes to the Malang Zoo. After we arrived at Malang, we were going to take a break for a moment. We got out of the car and it was freezing there. I quickly took my jacket and wore it. Then, we continued our trip to the zoo. We saw so many animals like the bison, and so many more. There was also a monkey that hang at the top of the other car's roof. After we drove around for like 2 hours, we finally reached the recreation area of the zoo, my dad took a photo of me with a parrot there. We took a break for a moment before going to continue our trip. After we took a break, we were going to play, but we couldn't play much because it was already evening. We were going to my grandmother's house after this long tiring, freezing, and fun day.
