  • Definition
    Asking an opinion is the way for someone to ask for another peoples opinion about something, and giving opinion is when someones giving opinions about something.

  • Purpose
    The purpose of asking and giving opinion is that we can know about what another persons think about something.

  • Expressions

    Asking for Opinion (formal):
    - Have you got any comments on  …?
    - Could you tell me your opinion about ..?
    - What is your view on …?

    Asking for Opinions (informal):
    - I need your opinion about …
    - What is your opinion?
    - How about ..?

    Giving Opinions (formal):
    - I personally consider …
    - My own view of the matter is…
    - In my personal opinion …

    Giving Opinions (informal):
    - I think that…
    - As far as I know
    - In my opinion, ...
